Where will you find this cute little thing?

  1. Well, I guess I did it again...
This time, again, it made me think and think, and search and search...
At first I somehow thought it was Velazquez which was not a bad guess because he painted dogs in a most similar manner. But it turned out to be wrong, as I searched his paintings in vain. Gainsborough also turned out to be a dead-end. But I didn't give it up and thought I would check out someone who really loved Velazquez... and to my big surprise the it was... the cutie sitting on the lapel of...

Should I tell? Or should I give others the chance?

    All the best to you,
    Agnes

  2. Hello Agnes,
Your comment made me smile...well, I have to say that your research has been very fruitful indeed, as the cute little thing is resting on the lap of a certain lady...who is sitting in a certain place... You are the absolute winner whatever happens! And this painter really admired Velazquez. Well done! Your art teachers must be very happy with me ;)

  3. Hello, (I don't know your name yet)
sorry for answering so late, I'm among the worst procrastinators, too.
    I'm glad I made you smile. :)
(Was it because of the way I found the answer or because of my bad English? :P)

I think everyone else had enought time to dig up the answer, so now I can give it away...
So, the cute little dog can be found on Edouard Manet's Gare Saint-Lazare (Saint-Lazare Train Station)(if I'm not mistaken).

Anyways, how are you doing? What's your name? :) What do you do? I know these are rather personal questions, and I don't want to insult you, so if you don't want to answer, then just don't do it.

A little observation on blogging: I'm not a good or successful blogger, but I noticed, that if I leave comments on successful blogs that I like, it generates readers for me. I keep clicking on commenters, out of curiousity, to see their blogs, and I guess others do the same. Most of this readership wont stay, but after a while there will be a few people who do, I guess.
    All the best to you,
    Agnes
